A note from Antoinique Abraham, '14

My senior year at Hampton University has been going exceptionally well! I’m taking some awesome

classes this semester including Advertising, Personal Finance and Event Planning. Event Planning is

definitely my favorite class. I’ve been working on portfolio specific projects that tailor to exactly what I

want to do in life. I am now a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). I was

recently elected Ms. PRSSA, which makes me the chair of the community service committee. We have

several events lined up this year including the Scandal Watch Party, taking place Thursday 10/3. I’ve

also been extremely active with my sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. We’re currently preparing for the Homecoming step show. As step- master this year, there is a lot of pressure but I’m confident that we’ll succeed. On top of everything going on at school, I have an internship with Teen Diaries LLC, a youth

entertainment and media company geared towards multi-cultural female millennials (ages 13-22). As a

public relations intern, I help pitch, write, promote and develop ideas. I am responsible for a variety of

writing assignments, as well as working with TD Radio and Pretty Girls Sweat. Needless to say, my senior

year has been nothing but exciting thus far. I’m excited about my future endeavors.
