Tell us 3 things about you:  Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, where I served on the Indiana United Way Board as the youth member. I studied law at Howard University and the University of Cape Town in South Africa. I am the Community Board 10 Chair serving Central Harlem.

 

Tell us about your job: I began my career as a Bronx County Assistant
District Attorney, where I worked for over 11 years. As an ADA, I prosecuted
many types of cases ranging from violent assaults to long-term drug cases. I also
served as the Bronx District Attorney’s first Diversity and Inclusion Lead, as well as, the
EEO Officer/Career Counselor. In 2019, I joined the New York State Division of
Human Rights as the Director of Compliance. And I am currently serving as the Acting
First Deputy Commissioner.
